From as far back as I can remember, I’ve always had this deep knowing that my purpose in this lifetime is to help people. Looking back I’ve always been very sensitive and could feel the pain and suffering in which people and even animals would experience. As I continued to navigate my way through the younger years of my life, I learnt to suppress my soft, intuitive nature, and lost connection with my inner wisdom.
After finishing high school, I went on to complete a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics and a postgraduate in Psychology. However I knew that this wasn’t where I wanted to be. I struggled for years trying to figure out what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be.
It was only until I had discovered the love for yoga that I knew I had found something truly special and was certain that this was exactly where I needed to be. I began to soften energetically and emotionally and was able to connect within, something that felt foreign, but yet so right.
The profound shifts that occurred within me from yoga guided me to dive deeper into the understandings of the subtle body and the interwoven connection between mind, body, heart and soul.
From there I found Reiki, another powerful healing modality, which led me further into the world of energy healing and the correlation to our health and wellbeing. Around the same time that I started Reiki I also had a calling to pursue a Life Coaching course so that I could have a greater understanding of the mental patterns in human behaviour, and be able to help people connect deeper into their subconscious mind.
I honestly believe that in order for us to heal, we first must connect within and try to develop a greater relationship with our physical, mental, emotional and energetic bodies.
As I continue to navigate my way through this life path, I honour that I will be forever learning and evolving. However time and time again I remind myself that all the answers I seek are already within me. Whether it be yoga, Reiki, or coaching, these healing modalities have had incredible effects on my overall health and wellbeing and I’m so grateful that I am able to share and pass this on to others.
